As we came into the harbor in San Juan, we passed by Isla Grande Airport (SIG), the smaller of two commercial airports in the city.

About our Viator Tour

The description of the tour in San Juan sounded amazing – “Discovering Puerto Rico: Lifestyle, Art, and Cultural Tour.”  As you will see, parts of the tour were great, while other parts were not.  Initially, we visited some interesting places, but after the first hour, this tour was a went seriously down hill.

Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States.  One could not help but be moved and impressed with the degree of patriotism to the U.S. reflected in the buildings and monuments in Puerto Rico.

The driver took us a considerable distance for lunch.  We thought the place must be amazing to drive so far out of our way.

Adding to the fun, this is the point in the tour when the air conditioning failed in the van

We were taken to a parking lot and “hiked” a distance along the water’s edge to see this painting

The only scenic view we saw for the last two hours of the tour

For the last hour of the tour, we stopped at four different locations and walked an average of one city block to see “art” on buildings, such as this one
