To prepare for our early Saturday morning flight, we stayed Friday night at a park/sleep/fly hotel near the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG).  Our alarms were set for 2:30 am EDT, and we boarded the airport shuttle at 3:30 am for our 6:15 flight to LAX.

Crossing the continental divide in Colorado

After a 5 hour layover in L.A., we flew to Vancouver (YVR), flying near Mount Rainier seen below.

We landed at 3:15 pm (PDT) – 15 hours after we boarded the airport shuttle.  Our dear friends, John and Sherri, whom we met on a cruise in November 2025 picked us up at the airport, took us to our VRBO, treated us to a fine dinner, and spent the night and most of Sunday with us.

Note.  To the far right of this photo, you can see part of the BC Place Vancouver Stadium.  That stadium later hosted Fifa World Cup soccer games.  In preparation for that event, the panels of the Science World sphere, seen here, was covered to look like a soccer ball, and we saw the early work on that transformation.
